A few weeks ago, I was invited to try out the new menu from Walrus, which was a great excuse for an after work soiree with my work-wife, Phoebe!
To put it simply, Walrus is all about ‘great food, booze and the best RnB party in the NQ’ and that statement is spot on. With a chilled atmosphere and absolutely gorgeous, ‘Instagramable,’ copper decor, Walrus is ideal for after work drinks or a stop off point on your weekend Northern Quarter bar crawl!
Walrus have the best after-work drinks offers going. I’m all about the two for £10 on selected cocktails and £15 bottles of Prosecco!
We tried the Raspberry & Elderflower Collins and Ginger Rabbit cocktails, both Gin based and absolutely delicious. The Ginger Rabbit, which quoted by Phoebe, is her in a glass, was my favourite. As stated on the menu, it has a spicy little kick with a fruity spark – so yummy!
When it comes to eating at Walrus, make sure you go in with an empty belly, trust me! The menu at Walrus has been designed with no fuss, just great, hearty food – Badass Burgers, Big Daddy Pizzas, Super Subs and let’s not forget the Dirty Fries.
It was burgers for us! I went for the Mexican Burger with Chicken (this is usually a Vegan option) and Phoebe went with the staple Walrus Burger. You’ll find no criticism here, they were both amazing and not too over the top – they went down a treat with our cocktails!
Thank you so much to the team at Walrus for letting us come and try out the new menu. If you haven’t already, make sure you grab your mates and get down there. Find yourself a booth, flick through their cocktail menu and get your grub on – you won’t regret it!
* The meal and drinks were offered complimentary from Walrus for review purposes. However, I will never write about anything I wouldn’t genuinely try or enjoy.
