Happy Blog Birthday to me! Wow, HiCarlyMarie has been live for a whole year and I couldn’t be happier to have started this little project of mine. Not only has it helped me build up so many amazing connections, which has led to some brilliant opportunities, It has also helped build my confidence as a person and a blogger.

I’m also celebrating some other news – I have a new job! I now work as Digital Marketing Exec for a creative college – Access to Music. It’s past students include, Ed Sheeran (our patron), Rita Ora, JP Cooper and many more – how fab! Music marketing is something I’ve always wanted to get into and this is such a great start for me.
As I mentioned, by starting this blog, my confidence has grown a lot. It has been wonderful to be a part of such an encouraging, like-minded community where moral support is literally a tweet away. Amongst the girl bloggers I’ve come across, I love the whole ‘Girl Boss’ mantra (Yep, I had to drop that in here as I’m OBSESSED with the Netflix show) everybody lives by – girl power!
What’s next then? To be honest, who knows. I’ve achieved a lot already and with more time to dedicate to my blog, I’m hoping to overcome some more confidence barriers. For example, I’ve been encouraged to start Vlogging, but I won’t speak too soon! I’ve found my niche and what I love writing about so it’s become a lot easier to craft posts. For any aspiring bloggers, don’t give yourself a niche in the beginning. Be yourself and eventually, you’ll find what you’re most comfortable writing about.
Is there anything I’m missing? Or do you have any advice for me as I enter my second year blogging on HiCarlyMarie? Please let me know!
