Cocktail Making at Red Door, Manchester

Manchester’s bar scene is forever on the rise, with pocket areas all around the city for everyone’s taste, you’re stuck for choice on where to spend your night out.

I’m forever looking for new drinking holes and when I was introduced to Red Door, I instantly knew it would be very me.
With a presence in both Liverpool and Chester, Red Door, Manchester is a late night, underground cocktail bar located on Deansgate. The bar’s aesthetic evokes Manchester’s iconic music scene throughout and introduces the newest of Manchester’s music talent with live entertainment.

For my 22nd birthday recently, I was able to attend a cocktail master class at the bar and got to open my taste buds to something other than vodka!
The atmosphere from the get go at Red Door is truly amazing- with iconic Manchester posters, quirky finds and red lights dotted around the venue, it’s a unique, yet homely experience.

There was five of us taking part in the cocktail making- which was such a laugh!
Easing us in with a glass of Prosecco, followed by the bartender’s amazingly crafted South Beat Sour, it was over to us to get behind the bar and produce a Mrs Jones.

We were told to count our ‘pouring’ in beats of two and three. I may have accidentally slipped and created a very STRONG gin flavoured cocktail, but nethertheless it was delicious. (Definitely matching the example…)

Whether it’s for a hen night, birthday celebration, or just an excuse to learn something new, Red Door’s cocktail masterclass is definitely a good start!
