Lush has been on the scene for years, and with it now becoming more and more of an ‘Instagram Aesthetic’, it’s becoming harder to ignore it. When your best friend is also a transforming Vegan, it’s even more difficult to ignore the hype when she talks about the brand so enthusiastically, non-stop.
I have tried a few things from Lush in the past- the Bubblegum Lip Scrub and the array of bath bombs. But I no longer have a bath (just a shower, don’t worry, I still wash!) so that one is out of the window. After recently visiting the new Manchester Arndale store, with the said best friend, I was in-love. Lush really does deserve its recognition and hype – the amount of genuine effort that goes into it’s whole establishment is unreal.
I now actually look after my face – my skin care routine is (if I do say so myself) on point. Because of this, I decided to try two Lush skin products – Rosy Cheeks Fresh Face Mask and the Coffee Scrub.
The fact that you have to keep the facemasks in the fridge is what sold the product to me! I love that every time it’s applied, it feels as though you’re doing your skin the world of good. I love how the mask tightens as it sets on your face and the after results are incredible. This mask in particular aims to give you a matte finish, which for my oily skin is a god send!
The coffee scrub smells amazing, although some may say it’s quite a rich scent. I rate my exfoliating products out of ‘scrubby-ness’ and this one definitely hits a 20 out of ten! After applying, you let the product set for 10-15 minutes and then wash away all those dead skin cells preventing your skin from glowing. Even better, the Coffee Scrub can be used all over, so ideal for a pre-shave and tan!
It’s official, I am a converted Lushie. The price is reasonable because you’re paying for organic and fresh products.
What’s in your Lush haul? Let me know, I need more!
