Bedtime cleanse

Makeup, the angel’s gift, but the devils work to remove. Our skin is so precious and the amount of chemicals us girls slap on it day-to-day is unbelievable! After a busy day at work, I love nothing more than getting home, getting into my jim-jams, shoving my hair up and chilling out with a brew. Sometimes, our busy schedule gets in the way of our skin care routine, but I think I’ve found two quick and effective products to maintain my bedtime cleanse.

*The products featured in my post are not sponsored, these are 100% my own purchases and views.

Garnier Skin Micellar Cleaning Water

I’ve seen beauty bloggers post about this product for a while now, and with Primark stocking this holy water for the bargain price of £2.50, I thought i’d give it a go. I’ve never believed in using ‘cleansing water’ as it’s seemed pointless, I mean, it’s the same as a wet wipe, surely? With no need for a pre-rinse, I soak into a cotton pad and use for my full face. Now, trust me when I say this, but I cannot believe the war paint that I strip off just using this alone – you can probably imagine how covered my face is?!

Soap & Glory™ Face Soap and Clarity™ 3-in-1 Daily Detox Vitamin C Facial Wash

Soap & Glory Face Soap and Clarity 3-in-1 Daily Detox Vitamin C Facial Wash

Time for exfoliation! Soap & Glory has always been one of my favourite beauty brands – how good is their Breakfast Scrub?! I only ever use a grape sized measure of this stuff and rub into my face, particularly my oily t-zone, until it foams up. I leave it to ‘set’ for about five minutes before I wash off in the shower. The pink soft-scrub beads aren’t only a pretty touch, but a god send for cleaning the dirt and nastiness lurking in your skin! Post-shower, my face feels so fresh and definitely detoxed!

A splash of cold water to close the pores and voilà, my canvas is clean again! Until tomorrow…

Perhaps you use more products during your bedtime cleanse? I’m always open to new ideas and love a good beauty haul, so let me know what you use!
