Is it really May already?! To make the most of the Bank Holiday Weekend, the Family and I decided to have some quality time together and sample the new Brunch menu at Gusto, Cheadle Hulme and it did not disappoint!
I’ve eaten at Gusto once before at the restaurant based on Deansgate in Manchester for Lunch. Located right on my doorstep, I’ve always meant to visit the one in Cheadle Hulme!
One key note to mention is the menu. Since I’ve started going out with a Chef, I now understand where he comes from when he describes a menu as ‘over-facing’. However, Gusto have theirs spot on! With a select few options, drinks and even breakfast cocktails, you didn’t feel overwhelmed with choice and selecting a meal was super easy!
As my Dad and I are hearty eaters, we were instantly drawn to the Full English Breakfast! Now, I know it doesn’t look a lot, but it was enough! Grease-free and not leaving you with that ‘too full to function’ feeling, this breakfast has to be one of the nicest I’ve had – and trust me, I’ve sampled a fair few! The two things that stood out for me were the poached eggs, which were cooked to perfection (excuse the cliche) and the crispy bacon – bacon is not bacon without the crisp!
Smoothies for seconds! I had a Berry Go Round, filled with fresh red fruits. My Brother went with something more tropical, consisting of passionfruit, pineapple and peach! One word – delicious!
The staff throughout the meal were great, from seating us in a cosy booth to being consistently tentative throughout! That coupled with the gorgeous Art Deco decor made the experience even more enjoyable. Would highly recommend for a girly lunch out, or an impromptu date night!
The boyfriend and I really want to try the evening menu here. Have you ever been? What are your recommendations?
